Here are the Finis products we highly recommend you get:
Tempo Trainer Pro - One of the greatest tools available to teach rythmic tempo and pacing for both swimming and running
Dryland Cords (Medium/Green) - Simulate swimming movements and build shoulder strength and stability. These are great to take with you on trips as well when you can't find a pool.
One Piece Pull Bouy - Swimming with a buoy helps simulate the feeling of a wetsuit for triathletes. Get a Jr Bouy if you weigh less that 130lbs.
Ankle Strap for Pulling - This prevents kicking too much while pulling and is useful to use when using the buoy in the ankles for core stability and alignment.
Centermount Snorkel - Assists with correct head position and air management for greater efficiency.
Z2 Fins - Helpful in High Speed Swimming as well as for novice swimmers to learn quicker and hold better body position in the water.
Fulcrum Paddles - Helps teach to pull with the fingers pointing toward the bottom for greater leverage and less shoulder injury potential. (Yellow (M) for under 130 lbs, White (L) for 130-180lbs, Black (XL) if over 180 lbs.)
Finis Alignment Kickboard - Competitive swimmers are constantly working on improving their kick, and it is very important to keep the body posture straight while kicking and not in a banana libe shape that happens with most kickboards.
Mesh Gear Bag - To carry all your gear. PUT YOUR NAME ON IT!
Here are some additional items to consider that help you improve your swimming or swimming enjoyment:
Swim Sense Performance Monitor - Great way to track your swimming progress. The monitor straps onto the wrist like a watch and uses accelerometers, magnetometers and patent-pending proprietary algorithms to identify your swim. Analyze your performance on the device with pace times, distance (meters/yards/laps), stroke count, stroke rate, distance-per-stroke and calories burned across all four major strokes.
Hydro Tracker GPS - Device that tracks your route and distance in open water swims
Swim Parachute - 8" resistance device. Suggested only for very efficient swimmers who need to get a little more load to build strength or to simulate upstream open water swimming
SwimP3 - A Waterproof MP3 player attached to a pair of googles. Great for long straight swims on your own to keep you motivated in open water. (Just leave the theme from Jaws off of it.)
Optical Goggles - Great option for people who wear glasses for distance or who use contacts and don't want to always wear them when they swim.
Goggles - Varies styles for every swimmers face
Swim Suits - Great Prices on practice suits and competition suits.
